Introduction of the National Park:

Royal National Park is the oldest part of Australia The park is the major tourist attraction due to natural beauty. A top sight to the royal national park is the Sea Cliff Bridge, Symbio Wildlife Park, and Figure 8 Pools. The location of the park is in Sutherland Shire in the Australian state of New South Wales, just south of Sydney. Total areas of the park are 151 square kilometers. The theory of tourist behavior shows that tourist visits in the place for three types of participation. For leisure time participation most of the tourists are found for an attractive place for a tour. Free time activity participation is another reason for people’s participation in the tourist's spot. Another model of a visit is the obligatory network activity participation (Iso- Ahola theory, 2020).  Each of the interaction of the modes is connected with the motivation that can be achieved by the scenic beauty and man-made decoration of the place. In the case of the Royal national park mode of interaction is Leisure participation and motivational components are the top sight in a national park (Sea Cliff Bridge, Symbio Wildlife Park, and Figure 8 Pools)

Description of the modes displayed by the tourists in the NP

Leisure participation is displayed by the tourist of Royal National Park in Australia as domestic visit in the park is estimated as per the data of 2018 shows that adult visitation number is  45,333,817 and child visitation number is 14,902,193.

Impact of tourism visitation to NP

The tourism visit to the Royal National park has both a positive and negative impact. The positive impact is found in the economical growth and negative impact is described for environmental impact.

Economic impact: Royal national park of  Australia is the major source of the economy of the country.  From the national and international tourists, the government earned billion of money. In 2018, the park visitation has been estimated as 60.23 included children and adults that provide the achievement of $14.30 billion in sales, labor income of $5.19, and total value-added service of $8.47 billion.

Environment impact: Some major environmental impact of tourist to the Royal national park Australia shows biodiversity and environmental pollution that cause land pollution, plastic pollution, and cigarette pollution.

Environmental planning for sustainable development:

Environmental planning for the sustainable development of the Royal national park includes some important areas (Environmental Plan. 2020). The planning process has focused to have biodiversity management and environmental pollution management. The climate change protection process is focused on the water management process where the coastal areas of the parks are protected by the authority to deal with the situation (ABC News. 2020). Other important areas are land management. Under the solid waste management process, once a week the authority of the park takes initiatives of making operational management by the recycling of the plastic and other solid waste. Tree plantation has been included for the air pollution management operation. Main areas are given below,

  • Greenhouse protection
  • Water management
  • Solid waste management
  • Land management
  • Biodiversity management

Role of stakeholder involvement for NP:

Major stakeholder of the park is the tourists, government, investors, and management authority. Each of the stakeholders has to take initiatives for managing the operation of the park and to manage the natural resources of the park. Visitors have to take a role in reducing their habits of carrying plastic bags. All the waste is gathered in the dustbin to reduce unnecessary environmental pollution.

Impact of loss biodiversity on tourism service of NP:

The bio-diversity has a very adverse impact as it cause natural disaster in the Royal national park.  Due to the loss of biodiversity, it has been found that water level in the coastal areas reduced and many underwater species dies. Tourism in the Royal national park impacts on the soil formulation, greenhouse gas absorption, and essential ecological function. Due to the excessive temperature for air pollution rock areas of the park will go underwater.

Thus, it can conclude that the Royal National Park of Australia is the major source of the Australian tourist industry. There is several cycling and walking trails in the Royal National Park of Australia.   The intention of tourist behavior is shown by the theory. Most of the tourist come to the park to spend their free time.
