The particular article can find relevance with the selected topic in terms of shaping of financial and societal transformation through resource extracting, dispossessing, enhanced levels of societal polarisation and ecology-related degradation within the era of imperialism. The neoliberal reification of the competitive market and downplaying perspectives of the human agencies draw strong arguments on the implications of the study.

It reflects upon the critical thought that one has to overcome for establishing a better scenario of socio-economic context.

The conclusive finding of the study states that rather than attaining the financial woes experienced by Africa, much emphasis has been given on factional infighting. The African leaders were more interested in establishing their personal financial and socio-political interest rather than the welfare of the general public. This automatically resulted in stagnation and rising of societal inequalities, which automatically hampered the socio-economic status of the nation.

The findings of the study would find relevance with the selected topic in the context that it mentions the wrongdoings of the African leaders and the need for implementation of measures from the perspective of the general public for improved economy and better society.

The strength of the particular article is that it conducts an in-depth analysis of the corruption generated by African leaders for slowing down economic and societal growth. However, the study does not lay much emphasis on the positive impacts of colonisation in terms of managing raw materials and manufactured products. 

As per my viewpoint, it can be stated that the general public of the civil society should take active participation in constituting formidable forms of checking against the formalised institutionalisation of governmental perspective in regards to legislative aspect and judiciary. In case, the institutionalisation is not able to improve the situation, one should be exercising their civil rights for effectively contributing to social and economic development.
